Blake Hudson aka Phosphorus has been VJing for over 10 years and is a pioneer of live projected visuals in Far North QLD.

He has performed at many festivals, clubs & events nationally including Rainbow Serpent, Earth Frequency, Freakquency nightclub, Illumination & Luxlumen. In 2005 he travelled to Spain to perform live visuals for a dance troupe.

When he's not creating functional and organic permaculture gardens for the tropical climate he can be found exploring and delving into the patterns of nature. He unlocks this geometry and imagery, using it as a starting point for his visual compositions that aim to inspire us all to find a closer connection to the earth. His layered projections are visually rich and mesmerising.

Through his live projection work Hudson sensitively reads his environment and audience, listening, responding and adapting his output, he takes the audience on a journey. “I do this to share deep subconscious messages of love, connection, natural systems & patterns.”

 

For Illuminate Cairns he’ll be beaming live up onto the Cairns Corporate tower from dusk to midnight, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. The ultimate view of this will be from Rydges Plaza Lilo Bar at our opening  party on Friday 11th November.

His ever-evolving piece on this 16 storey tower will include a voyage into the ecotone of toroidal energy and will be performed to music.
